What is The Rutter Group (TRG)?
Since 1979, The Rutter Group has provided the legal community with the

What are The Rutter Group Practice Guides? The Rutter Group
(TRG) publishes authoritative loose-leaf Practice Guides written in the
unique TRG "law outline format." Each Practice Guide is authored by
distinguished judges and lawyers and addresses a discrete field of
practice. The authors provide step-by-step guidance through the
applicable substantive law, procedures, essential forms, and invaluable
"practice pointers." The Practice Guides are updated annually with
replacement pages to eliminate obsolete material and ensure that you
have the most current information at your fingertips.

TRG's "California Practice Guide" series includes Alternative Dispute Resolution, Civil Procedure Before Trial, Civil Trials and Evidence, Civil Appeals and Writs, Corporations, Employment Litigation, Enforcing Judgments and Debts, Family Law, Insurance Litigation, Landlord-Tenant, Personal Injury, Probate, Professional Responsibility and Real Property Transactions.
TRG's "Rutter Group Practice Guide" series includes Federal Civil Procedure Before Trial (5th Circuit and National Editions), Federal Civil Trials and Evidence, and Federal Ninth Circuit Appellate Practice.
TRG also publishes "Bus. & Prof.C. §17200 Practice," "Jury Selection," "Legal Professional's Handbook" and "Law Office Procedures Manual."

When did TRG become affiliated with West? The
The Rutter Group became affiliated with West (then known as West Publishing Company) in June of 1994. As a result of the affiliation, user-friendly Practice Guide formats are now available on CD-ROM and Westlaw.To view a list of TRG Practice Guides and all

How much do you charge for shipping?
Shipping (UPS "Standard Ground) is included in the purchase price of Rutter Group Practice Guides. If you desire expedited delivery at your expense, please contact The Rutter Group directly at (800) 747-3161, ext. 2.
How long does it take to receive an order?
Normally, UPS "Standard Ground" orders of in-stock products arrive within 5 to 7 working days.

Are discounts available on TRG Practice Guides? Yes, The Rutter Group provides special discounts for orders of 5 or more Practice Guides and for Practice Guides purchased in conjunction with TRG Seminars and Seminar Products. Contact TRG at (800) 747-3161, ext. 2.
How often are TRG Practice Guides updated, and how much are the
Updates? All TRG Practice Guide titles are updated annually. The Updates are replacement pages and prices vary depending on the number of pages; general range is $60 - $121. It is TRG's commitment to keep all Updates reasonably priced.
How do I return a Practice Guide Update? To ensure your
Practice Guide is up-to-date, a subscription is automatically entered
for the annual Updates. However, if you do not wish to keep the Update,
simply return it within 30-days to The Rutter Group (15760 Ventura
Blvd., Suite 630, Encino, CA 91436-3022); TRG will then cancel the
charge.
In filing my Update, I realize I did not receive last year's Update.
What can I do to bring the Practice Guide current? Different
options are available to bring your book up-to-date. TRG Customer
Service Representatives are available to assist you in this matter. You
can reach them at (800) 747-3161, ext. 1.
What can I do if I am missing a few pages from my Practice
Guide? The easiest way to request missing pages is to fill out our online missing pages form. Alternatively, you may fax a list of the missing pages to TRG at (818) 377-7842. If your request is for more than 50 pages, please contact TRG's Customer Service Department directly at (800) 747-3161, ext. 3.
How can I order or obtain more information about TRG Practice

How often are TRG CD-ROM discs updated?
Regular CD-ROM disc updates coincide with the annual print updates which are released periodically throughout the year.
Will The Rutter Group's Practice Library work with my current
library? The Practice Guides on CD-ROM are part of West's coordinated print and electronic research system, Premise. These libraries provide the ability to link to cited West cases, codes and court rules, simply by clicking on the cite reference you wish to view.
Is customer support provided?

How many CD-ROM discs will I receive?
The California Practice Library contains TRG's "California Practice Guide" series on one CD-ROM disc.
How often is each TRG database updated on Westlaw?
Each update follows the annual print updates, which are released periodically throughout the year. To verify the date of the Update that appears online, check the Scope section from the Westlaw Database query screen.

What is the RUTTERPASS?
RUTTERPASS cardholders are entitled to free admission to all live, video replay and RutterOnline programs presented by TRG for one year from date of purchase, except programs presented in conjunction with the California Judges Association and the California Family Law Report, Inc. (CFLR). When you attend a program, you will receive, free of charge, all program materials except TRG Practice Guides, Deskbooks or software. Attendees using their Rutterpass do not receive TRG Bonus Dollars. RUTTERPASS entitles you to borrow from TRG's Library of audio and video tapes plus accompanying written materials, except Practice Guides, Deskbooks and software.
What is TRG's Law Firm Seminar Pass?
TRG Law Firm Seminar Pass entitles any member or employee of the law firm or corporate legal department named on this pass to attend free of charge all programs presented by TRG prior to the expiration date shown, except programs presented in conjunction with the California Judges Association and the California Family Law Report, Inc. (CFLR). Attendees must present this Pass and their business card (or other proof of employment by the firm) at the program site to gain admission. This Pass will admit only one person per live or video replay location. Attendees receive free of charge all program materials except TRG Practice Guides, Deskbooks and software. PASSholders may also purchase audio or video tapes of TRG programs at a 50% discount from the regular price. This Law Firm Pass will not provide access to www.RutterOnline.com programs.
Does TRG's Law Firm Seminar Pass or TRG's RUTTERPASS entitle seminar atendees to receive a TRG Practice Guide with each seminar?
RUTTERPASS & Law Firm cardholders may purchase TRG Practice Guides at a discount, as they do not automatically receive a copy of the corresponding Practice Guide for each CLE seminar. To order, phone your Rutter Group Sales Representative at (800) 747-3161, ext. 2.
What should I do if I cannot attend a live or video replay seminar I am already enrolled in?
Paid seminar enrollees unable to attend a seminar will automatically be sent temporary access to the www.RutterOnline.com version of the seminar. A cancellation for a refund should be made 48 hours prior to the seminar event and an administrative fee may be charged. All cancellations should be made by calling TRG's Customer Service at (800) 747-3161, ext. 3.
