Dennis L. Greenwald is a partner in the Santa Monica law firm of Greenwald, Pauly, Foster & Miller. Admitted to practice in both California and New York, he has specialized in real estate law since 1975. He has a broad-based real estate practice, which includes development, financing, leasing, construction and sales.

Mr. Greenwald frequently writes and lectures for attorneys and other professional groups; he has also taught at the University of Southern California. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and a graduate of the University of San Diego Law School, where he served as Articles Editor of the Law Review.


Michael Asimow, Professor of Law Emeritus at the University of California School of Law, Los Angeles, is the author of the Practice Guide’s Tax Chapter. A graduate of Boalt Hall (J.D. 1964), he has been on the UCLA faculty since 1967. He teaches various tax courses, as well as administrative law, business associations, and contracts.

Prof. Asimow is a former associate at the Los Angeles law firm of Irell & Manella and, from 1986-1991, was Of Counsel to Loeb & Loeb in Los Angeles. He has written extensively on tax-related topics, including numerous articles about tax problems in real estate transactions. Prof. Asimow also authors the tax material in the California Practice Guide: Family Law and is a frequent lecturer at Rutter Group continuing legal education programs on federal tax topics.
