William E. Wegner is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He specializes in commercial litigation and is Co-Chair of his firm's training program for incoming lawyers.

Mr. Wegner is a past president of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He has written and lectured widely on civil trial procedure, including programs for the American Bar Association, the California Judges Association and The Rutter Group.

Robert H. Fairbank is a cofounding partner of Fairbank & Vincent. Before creating his own law firm, he was a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He specializes in commercial litigation and trial work, and is a past president of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Mr. Fairbank served as chair of the California Judicial Council subcommittee on uniform local trial rules. He is active in continuing education and has been a panelist on Rutter Group programs for many years.

Justice Norman L. Epstein is the Presiding Justice of Division Four of the Second District California Court of Appeal, and a former judge of both the Los Angeles Superior Court and Los Angeles Municipal Court.

Justice Epstein has written and lectured widely on trail procedure. He edits the "Case and Commentary" newsletter for California Judges and is a coauthor (with B.E. Witken) of "California Criminal Law, 3rd Ed."

Justice Epstein has received the Distinguished Trial Jurist Award from the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Bernard E. Witkin Medal from the State Bar of California. He is a member of the American Law Institute.

Judge Eli Chernow (Ret.) is a former Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and has written and lectured widely on litigation topics. He is presently active as a private judge. Before his appointment to the bench, he was a partner in the law firm of Tuttle & Taylor; a lecturer and associate professor at USC Law Center; and a Special Assistant to the Governor on Environmental Matters.
