(Ret.) served on the Los Angeles Superior Court for 15 years and was Supervising Judge of its Law & Motion Departments. After retiring, Judge Weil was engaged in dispute resolution as a private judge. He was a former president of the California Judges Association, and taught civil procedure courses to literally hundred of judges and thousands of lawyers statewide. |

Judge Ira A. Brown, Jr.
(Ret.) was one of California's best known trial judges. He served as Law & Motion judge of the San Francisco Superior Court for over 10 years, was the Presiding Judge of that court and handled many of its most complex cases. Judge Brown is fondly remembered by lawyers and judges throughout California from his many appearances in continuing legal education programs. |  |
 | Justice William F. Rylaarsdam is an Associate Justice of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District. Previously, he served on the Orange County Superior Court and the Los Angeles Superior Court. Justice Rylaarsdam holds an advanced degree from the University of Virginia Law School. He has served on the California Judicial Council, and has written and lectured extensively on civil procedure topics. |
| Judge Lee Smalley Edmon is a Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court and has served as Supervising Judge of its Civil Departments. Judge Edmon is a member of the California Judicial Council and has served on a number of its advisory committees, including as chair of its Civil and Small Claims Advisory Committee. Judge Edmon frequently writes and lectures on civil procedure topics to both the bench and the bar, and has served on the governing boards of the LA Superior Court’s judicial education committee and of the statewide judicial education committee (CJER). Judge Edmon is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law. Before her appointment to the bench, she was a civil litigator, who served as President of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and as chair of its Litigation Section.. |  |
